A Child's Story
The little girl came to Richstone
quiet and shy ...
She wanted to draw ...
a paper was given.
She drew a heart, cut it out
then tore it into little pieces.
"This is how I feel. My heart is broken."
She gave the pieces to me ...
Time passed and on her last day
the little girl asked for her heart.
She taped the pieces together very carefully and said,
"My heart was broken and you
mended it." |

and treat child abuse, to strengthen families, and
to prevent violence in families, schools and communities.

Join Richstone in Recognizing April as National Child
Abuse Prevention Month.
30% of abused and neglected
children will later abuse their own children. Help us
stop this horrible cycle of abuse.
Richstone’s Pier-to-Pier Walkathon seeks to raise
awareness about the need for child abuse prevention in
our community. The Walkathon is Richstone’s largest
community event, and proceeds help support the Center’s
programs to prevent and treat child abuse. |
